Special Board Meeting - July 15, 2020

CALL TO ORDER
Supervisor Brown called the meeting to order at 3pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The Town Clerk called the roll, noting Councilman Bartiss absent and a quorum present. Supervisor Brown announced the purpose of the meeting was to address questions raised by board members after the board voted to adopt Resolution #33 approving construction of an 80x80 new Highway Garage.
REBUILDING NEW TOWN HIGHWAY GARAGE Councilman Hamm moved to recind his motion made on July 8, 2020 to approve the construction of an 80x80 garage. There was no second on the motion to recind. No action was taken.
Respresentatives from Architechtural & Engineering Design Associates (AEDA) and Friend Construction, the Town's Engineers and General Contractor under the Emergency Resolution adopted in December 2019, verbally responded to questions regarding size, roof construction, drainage, heating system and door placement. They will also provide written responses.
Assemblyman Billy Jones joined briefly via conference call to discuss the procedures required to obtain the $500,000 funding assistance thorugh his office as promised by him in Decmeber 2019. Supervisor Brown has submitted the documents that have been requested thus far by the NYS Ways and Means Committee.
Supervisor Brown stated the Town Attorney, Eric Gustafson, is in posession of the proposed contract with AEDA. When she receives his approval, Supervisor Brown will sign it and work will commence.
There being no futher business, Supervisor Brown adjourned the meeting at 4:35pm
